Thank you for visiting our Nativity of Mary School Web site! Located on the campus of Nativity of Mary Church in Bloomington, Minn., our school offers children in kindergarten through eighth grade an exceptional education in mind, body and spirit. I came to Nativity of Mary in 2000 from the St. Paul, Minn., public school district, where I had worked for 13 years – as assistant principal at Parkway Elementary School and, earlier, as a teacher of special education, third grade and first grade. I’m very happy to be here, as I’m a strong believer in Catholic education: My own children are enrolled at our school as well. At Nativity of Mary, we’re proud of our tradition of high academic standards and achievement – as attested by our students’ outstanding performance on state and standardized tests as well as the reputation we have earned with area high school admissions staffs. Our school is also blessed with dedicated, conscientious teachers who believe in our mission: to make God known and loved. Through their instruction and example, our students learn – and put into action – timeless Catholic values that will prepare them for lives of faith and service. One of the things I love most about Nativity of Mary is the spirit of community that is so tangible here.
