Our lunch program is a service we receive through the Bloomington Public Schools.  We serve the same lunch as the Bloomington Public Schools. The cost of the school lunches for the coming school year will be as follows: Grades K-5 is $2.45, grades 6-8 is $2.65, and adult lunch is $3.30. Hot Lunch will include milk.  If your child is bringing lunch from home, they may purchase milk/juice for $.45 a carton.

When sending payments for school lunches, you may pay by check or cash.  Enclose the payment in an envelope.  On the outside of the envelope, please write “school lunch”, and the child(ren)’s first and last name.  VERY IMPORTANT:If you have more than one child at Nativity of Mary School, please specify the amount that should go into each child’s account.  If this is not done, the amount will be split evenly between the children’s accounts.  We put the money into the lunch accounts the day we receive the money.

Since Bloomington Public Schools regulates this program, Nativity of Mary School needs to follow their rules.  If your account drops below $-6.00 (3 meals), your child will receive a sandwich (PBJ) and milk.   If a child’s account is below $5.00, you will receive a low balance sheet in your communication folder.

If you want to find out the exact amount that is in your child(ren)’s lunch account, please call me at

952-881-8160. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions.

Please remember to send money to replenish your children’s lunch accounts.  We are NOT putting stamps on their hands this year so some accounts are going below $0.  You will receive a notice in your communication folder if your account is below $5.00 but once the account is -$15.00 your child will not be able to have hot lunch.
