The purpose of the School commission is to ensure that policies and programs at Nativity of Mary School are consistent with the mission and philosophy of the school, and reflect the position of caring parents of attending children, to provide counsel and advise to the school administrator and the pastor in the operation of the School, and to develop and promote the implementation of policies, with the approval of the pastor, as well as monitor the use and implementation of approved policies. We are avid volunteers.
We have vacancies each year for new commission members due to term limits, and we are always in search of commmitted people to serve in that capacity. If you are interested in serving on the school commission, please contact the school admistrator or commission chairperson for more information.
The School Commission meets at a regular time each month which is posted in the school calendar. All regular meetings of the School Commission shall be opened to interested parties as non-participatory observers. Agenda items may be submitted for discussion by any interested party to the chair or the School Administrator, but must pertain to school policy matters and must be received at least ten days before the regular meeting. All Meetings start at 7:30am in the School Meeting Room.
