Volunteer Ministry Committee

Would you like to help develop fresh creative ideas for using the God-given gifts we all possess? Would you like to bring new energy to and encourage greater participation of parishioners to serve the needs of our parish and the community?

As members of this commitee, we offer seminars to help parishioners identify their unique gifts and talents. What else do we do? To name a few: The Ministry Spotlight in the bulletin provides current information regarding immediate needs of the various committees or parish activities. The Bulletin Board at the church entrances has notices seeking short-term commitments, and periodically, we update the Volunteer Opportunities Booklet which lists the many ministries that are offered at Nativity of Mary. We also arrange for the annual Volunteer Appreciation Weekend.

Adults and High School students are invited to join us as we assist Nativity of Mary parishioners find and use their unique God-given gifts.

Stewardship Committee

Do you have visions? Not the supernatural kind, but things you see for the future of Nativity? Or fine-tuning what is already in place? The Stewardship Committee is looking for a few more members and maybe you are being called. The mission of the committee is to deepen the understandin of stewardship within our parish through educational materials/events and by encouraging the use of our God-given gifts of "time, talent and treasure." The Stewardship Committee assists and collaborates with the Parish Pastoral Council, Finance Council (some knowledge of finance is desirable) and other parish committees in planning and implementing stewardship-related activities. Nativity of Mary in need of volunteer
Evening Office Receptionists

Do you miss working in an office? Do you enjoy greeting people in person and by phone? Are you good at light office tasks, such as folding, labeling, copying, sorting and proofreading? Do you want to provide some much-needed support for our wonderful parish staff? The parish currently has need for volunteers to be trained as evening Parish Office Receptionists. Opportunities are available week nights, Monday-Thursday from 6:15-8:00 PM. You can work whenever it works in your schedule, once a month, once a week or “on call” - if/when you are available. Don’t be afraid to try out one shift to see how you like it! It is also a fun way to learn more about our parish services. Finance Council

Do you have a "nose for numbers"?---are you a "bulldog" about budgets"?---are you "serious about (financial) statements"? Then perhaps you would like to be on Nativity's Finance Council. This important committee monitors the financial status of the parish....much like you would your home.... and advises the pastor on financial matters. Yes, there is a time commitment (three years, meetings held the third Wednesday each month, plus occasional additional time for secial needs). Any qualified, registered member of the parish is eligible to apply for one of the open positions. Training involves attending meetings prior to commitment.
