JUNIOR GREAT BOOKS

Home

We are ready for an exciting new year of Junior Great Books!

Junior Great Books provides students in grades 2 through 5 with an opportunity
to read fascinating stories and use interpretive discussion and
literary activities to learn to read for meaning, think critically, and
practice active listening. Check this week's communication folder for
sign-up forms.

Junior Great Books is still looking for gently used copies of the 1992
edition of Junior Great Books for grades 2 through 5. If they are
gathering dust on your shelves, please consider donating them back to
the program. Books may be left in the school office.

We are also looking for parent volunteers for this year's program.
Training is available and experienced leaders are available at all
grade levels to assist new volunteers. Volunteers work with a small
group of children for 30 - 45 minutes per week, once or twice a month,
from November to March. If you need more information about
volunteering or about the program, please contact Denise Nygren at
952-881-0063 nate.nygren@usfamily.net, or Barb Dockendorf at 952-884-1337,
