How much in total SCRIP purchases does my family need to spend?
$2,500 per family per school year, or if you choose not to participate, then $200 will be added to your tuition bill.

How do I get a SCRIP order form?
They will be sent home every once a month in your Thursday communication folder. They can be picked up in the school office or downloaded anytime from the school Web site at nativitybloomington.org starting August 1, 2005.
How can I purchase SCRIP?
The best option is to designate on your order form that you would like a standing order – either monthly, bi-weekly or weekly. Your SCRIP will then automatically come home to you in your child’s communication folder on Thursdays. If you don’t do a standing order, you may place individual orders at any time. Orders received by Monday will be sent home that Thursday, or you may pick it up that Thursday in the school office. Send in your form with cash or a check made out to Nativity of Mary School.
What if I need to purchase SCRIP right away?
The school office will stock smaller amounts of SCRIP, which you can come in and purchase during the school day. (Please keep in mind that the beginning and end of the school day can be quite busy in the office so we ask for your patience at these times.) If you need to buy a large amount of SCRIP – more than $100 – for any vendor, however, we will need at least 48 hours’ notice to order it. Large dollar amounts are not kept at school.
What is the best way to guarantee that the SCRIP I want to order will be available?
By putting in a standing order weekly, bi-weekly or monthly or by giving at least three days’ notice. The office will stock all vendors’ SCRIP but the amount is limited.
Can I buy SCRIP before or after masses on Saturday or Sunday?

Can I buy SCRIP at any other school events?
Yes, it will be available at various school events during the year, like parent-teacher conferences.
Can I pay for my SCRIP with a credit card?
Unfortunately, no. There is a fee incurred when we allow payment with a credit card and it just costs too much. Please send cash or a check made out to Nativity of Mary School with your order form.
How can I find out what my SCRIP balance is?
A monthly statement will be sent home in your communication folder.
What if my family does not buy $2,500 worth of SCRIP by May 31, 2006?
The $2,500 is equivalent to $12.50 per $100 purchased. If the $2,500 is not purchased, the family will be billed $12.50 per $100 not purchased.
What if I don’t spend money at any of these vendors?
You may be surprised at who's on the list! There are more than 70 vendors, including many you likely go to on a regular basis like Cub, Home Depot or Holiday Gas. If you do not ever shop at any of these places, then maybe it is preferable for your family to pay the $200 option.
What if a store I shop at all the time is not included on the vendor list?
Let us know! We are updating and adding vendors on a regular basis.
Can other members of my family or my neighbors purchase SCRIP too?
Yes, and you can receive credit from their purchase toward your $2,500 by making sure they designate your family name on the order form.
