Get Ready for a Great Night Out! Mark Your Calendars for Friday May 6, 2011
Dear Nativity of Mary School Family:
Planning has started for the Eleventh Annual Spirit of Spring Social and Silent/Live auction! We are excited for you to participate in the festivities. This year’s event will take place on Friday, May 6th, 2011.
The cost for the event is $25.00 per person and $50.00 per couple. Each ticket includes appetizers and a drink ticket for the evening.
The Spirit of Spring Social is a wonderful way for our school community to gather, socialize and raise funds for our children’s school. If you are new to Nativity, the Spirit of Spring Social is one of our largest fundraisers and attended by over 300 guests every year. The Spirit of Spring Social features a silent/live auction, sweepstakes, tasty hors d’oeuvres, a wine and beer bar and other entertaining activities. This is an adult only event and is a fun night for parents, teachers, staff and friends of Nativity to get together for a great cause –our school. It’s a great opportunity to make some new friends. We hope you will attend.

Donations Update
THANK YOU for all the donations that we have received! If you’re looking to add to your SCRIP dollars, consider donating a restaurant gift certificate. Our greatest need is in this area for the Treasure Tree. We will ALWAYS accept donations any time! Donations received will be gratefully accepted and added via an Addendum to the Auction booklet.
Spirit of Spring – Raffle!
It’s not too late to get more tickets! And they’re such an easy sell! Remember, every 10 tickets sold gets your family’s name into a drawing for a $50 gift card. Need more tickets? Just ask in the office! Please remember that all tickets are numbered and must be tracked. All tickets sold or un-sold must be turned in to the school office by April 29th.
Don’t forget about the raffle over the Easter holiday! Get some extra raffle tickets to offer to friends and relatives you may be seeing. They’ll love the chance to win one of the great prizes being raffled off. They will also be pleased to know that they are contributing to our school. Three weeks until the drawing!!
In-School Raffle!
Look for the In-School Raffle tickets and flyer to be sent home in this week’s communication folder! The In-School Raffle is the kick-off event for the Spirit of Spring Silent Auction event activities. Tickets are only $2.00 each!! It is a great way for students and their families to get involved with the festivities. First prize this year is a XBOX 360/Kinect! Get ready to buy your raffle tickets!!
Volunteer Help!
We are still short of volunteers for the night of the auction. Please consider volunteering your time during part of the auction. We need volunteers to make the night successful. Fund-A-Need
The chosen item for the fund-a-need this year is a wireless laptop cart with additional laptop computers. Laptops offer many opportunities for our children to learn and stay engaged in learning. Keeping Nativity of Mary current with technology helps our school stay competitive with surrounding schools and helps sustain the superior education children at Nativity receive. If you are unable to attend the auction, you may still donate to this fund before or after the event has taken place. Please consider donating to the fund-a-need this year.
