Becoming An Expert-research paper

“Becoming An Expert” is the 5^th grade research project. You will pick a topic of interest to you, research that topic, and write a 5(or 6) paragraph paper about it. Also, you will prepare a short oral presentation for the class about your topic.

For the research project you will:

Collect information from a minimum of 4 resources.
Need to have at least 2 different types of resources. (Books, magazines, internet printouts, etc.)
Need a pack of 3x5 index cards (or note cards). They should be lined.
Need a folder just for the research paper.

The written report will be due at the end of March. The rough draft and final report should be typed, doubled space in a 12 font.

You will also be giving an oral presentation of your research paper. To enhance your oral presentation you will be creating a visual aide. You will be given more instruction on the oral presentation later.

Some of the work will be done in class, but some will be need to be competed at home.
