Sixth Grade PowerPoint Project

In this project you will create a Powerpoint presentation on a sports topic. You will choose a sport to research and create a Powerpoint on the following areas:

The history of your sport (include who invented or created the sport)

The rules and regulations of your sport (what is the object of the game?)

Information on amateur and professional versions of your sport

Information on amateur and professional leagues of your sport

Information on influential people who have played this sport.

Your project must contain the following elements:

At least 7 slides in your Powerpoint

At least 6 images

At least one image created by you or someone in your group

At least 3 different sources cited in your bibliography.

The bibliography must be created in Microsoft Word, printed, and handed in with your project.

The second part of your project is to present your Powerpoint to the class. This presentation must be given by all members of your group.

This project will be scored on a scale from 0 to 100. A 100 is a perfect score. The project will be graded in the following manner:

Accuracy of information 10 points

Correct Spelling, Grammar, and Punctuation 10 points

Adequately covering all required areas 20 points

Project contains all required elements 20 points

Overall appearance of Powerpoint presentation 10 points

Bibliography in proper form 15 points

Presentation to the class 15 points

All late projects will lose 5 points per day late.
