7th Grade “Fantasy Vacation” Project

In this project, you will choose a fantasy vacation location, create an appealing travel brochure, create a Powerpoint presentation that you will show the class, and create a bibliography of all sources used to complete your project.

Your travel brochure must contain the following elements:

At least 5 images from 3 different sources

Information on the recreational opportunities of your location

Information on landmarks or historical sites in or near your location

Information on activities for young people (Under 18) to do at your location

The brochure must be at 8 pages in length including the front and back cover

Your Powerpoint must contain the following elements:

At least 6 slides in your presentation

At least 5 images from at least 3 different sources

Your bibliography must contain the following elements:

Documentation of ALL sources used in your project

All sources cited using the proper form (we will go over this in class)

This project will be scored on a scale from 0 to 100. The project will be graded by the following:

Accuracy of information 10 points

Correct spelling, grammar and punctuation 10 points

Adequately covering all required areas 15 points

Project contains all required elements 15 points

Overall appearance of travel brochure 10 points

Overall appearance of Powerpoint presentation 10 points

Bibliography cites all sources and is in proper form 15 points

Organized presentation to the class 15 points

All late projects will lose 5 points per day late
