Liturgy of the Word for Children
Liturgy of the Word for Children 1st grade through 4th grade children are invited to participate in Liturgy of the Word for Children during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass. Adult volunteers in this ministry present the day's readings in child-friendly language and discuss the Scripture with the children. We offer Liturgy of the Word for Children most weekends of the year.
Vacation Bible School 2016
Thank you to all who participated in this year's Catholic Vacation Bible School! We spent the week learning about the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy and putting them into action in various service projects.
Special thanks to Cathie Baier, who wrote and directed the program for our young people. May we all live out this year's Jubilee Year of Mercy in our everyday lives!
Our Vacation Bible School Team recorded an album for the upcoming VBS at Nativity! Take a listen to the first track by hitting play, or download the whole album by clicking the link below!
Religious Education is a Wednesday evening program for children in the parish who attend public schools. Volunteer Catechists work with first through eigth grades using a classroom-based religion curriculum that addresses both Scripture and Catholic tradition. Our programming emphasizes service, community, in addition to Catholic doctrine. Religious Education has a long tradition and meets a great need for many Catholic families. Over 100 children and 20-30 volunteers participate in Religious Education each year.
Adult Faith Formation
Each year, we present a varied menu of adult faith formation opportunities, generally in response to parishioner suggestions. Recent programs included bible studies, the Archdiocesan Evangelization Initiative, explorations of Catholic history and Church teachings, discussions of current faith issues, study of other religions, the popular "Water Cooler Questions" series. Most of the programs are taught or facilitated by staff or parishioners. When the budget allows it, we have occasional guest speakers. Any parishioner is welcome to contact the Director of Adult and Sacramental Formation with requests or suggestions for future programming.
Welcome to the Sacrament of Confirmation for the program year 2016-2017. Confirmation has a registration form that is different from the Religious Education registration form. Please print the Confirmation registration form, fill it out and drop off or mail to John Stute, Director of Youth Faith Formation, at the Parish Office along with your registration payment. Confirmation class begins at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, September 7 in the Cafeteria. If you have any questions, please contact John Stute at (952)881-8671 x316 or at email@example.com.
