And remember, as I tell the young people at the junior-high dances, when you dance leave room for the Holy Spirit. When in doubt, that's about one Bible-length between you and your partner.
Then again, on second thought, our parish festival comes only once a year. So go ahead. Cut loose. Dance like nobody is watching. And you only have to keep an Old-Testament distance between you and your partner, not the whole Bible.
Bring it to God as an offering of love in thanksgiving for Nativity of Mary. Consecrate the day to God in prayer before you come and God will bless you with a deeper love for our humble Bloomington parish home. Nativity of Mary can only be as beautiful and holy as your offerings of love. So bring a heart-full.
Pray too for nice weather and a good spirit of parish-family togetherness. Thanks again to the hard-working and devoted festival committee. Your love for the parish is inspiring.
See you on the dance-floor with a belly-full of chicken dinner!
