The Lord is Near (Retreat Cancelled)

The Lord is Near (Retreat Cancelled)

Unfortunently due to the winter strom Friday and Saturday we have decided to cancel the retreat.  We plan on rescheduling during Lent.

The 30th Anniversary Organ Recital will still be taking place on Sunday, December 12th at 3:00 PM.  Please join us!

The Lord is Near is an advent retreat taking place the weekend of December 10-12.
The word ‘retreat’ means to move back or withdraw, and that is exactly what we will be doing!  Taking time to pull back from our everyday lives and refocus on our relationship with God. Regardless of where your prayer life and practice is, we hope you can join us for this special event.

Prayer is not always an intuitive practice. Sometimes learning what others have done, or have taught, can assist us in experiencing the profound presence of God that we may have simply been unaware of. The season of Advent is such a fruitful time in the Church’s liturgical year, to discover new ways of receiving the Lord into our lives.

Join Fr. Nathan for a retreat focused on prayer this Advent season.  Over the course of the weekend we will dive into different methods of prayer that have existed for centuries in the Church. There will be teaching, time for prayer and community fellowship. The desire for this retreat is to offer our community different methods to encounter the Lord and practical ways to enrich your prayer life.

This retreat is open to all and is free of cost.
